(“ModelXIRR”) is a boutique modeling firm specializing in project finance model development, advanced Excel/VBA solutions for real-world applications, technical analytics, and specialist training. ModelXIRR provides models and tools that empower teams to assess returns, optimize financial structures, develop business plans, and monitor project data. We focus exclusively on modeling and do not provide corporate finance, tax or accounting advisory services.
Andrew Lee founded ModelXIRR after nearly 20 years in project finance (“PF”) advisory, debt origination and arrangement at Mizuho Bank, one of Japan’s largest and leading global PF bank. He has over 16 years in general management, business development and finance roles in various sectors including 4 years at Edison Mission Energy, one of the largest US independent power producers of its time and 3 years at Neptune Orient Lines Ltd., Singapore’s national shipping line before it was acquired.
His experience at Mizuho spans over USD 17 billion in successfully-closed PF debt transactions across Asia, involving renewables and thermal power power plants, LNG terminals, mining and resource projects, data centers, waste and water desalination, transport, port and other infrastructure projects, and M&A advisory.

ModelXIRR draws on decades of international project finance experience through its founder, Andrew Lee. Prior to founding ModelXIRR, Andrew held senior roles at Mizuho Bank and Edison Mission Energy, where he supported project capital structuring, investment and credit due diligence, modeling, and advisory work on large-scale transactions across Asia.
